Resources on the web offer some terrific shale energy education resources
Last week, you may have seen my blog highlighting some of the best energy educational resources available online that are geared toward understanding how energy, and specifically shale energy, benefits our everyday lives. In it, I discussed how I liked the ExxonMobil resource for its quiz format and pointed to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) as a resource for comprehensiveness. In this second part, I’d like to introduce two other efficient resources:
The BP Energy Outlook 2035
This report contains projections of long-term energy trends. The Outlook reflects BP’s best effort to describe a “most likely” trajectory of the global energy system. It’s a detailed read, but I find it useful to help understand the U.S. shale revolution in a global context. There are also short videos and webcasts you can register for.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for 21st Century Energy
Their website,
www.energyxxi.org,
contains an excellent section, “
Energy Works For US
,” that offers informative information, such as a subsection on Removing Barriers to Increased Domestic Oil & Natural Gas Production and Fuel Manufacturing, and in doing so, what the tremendous economic benefits would be. The Institute’s website also has a sharable toolkit and videos. You can follow their frequent news updates via
Twitter
and
Facebook
, too!
